Action-Based Cognitive Remediation (ABCR) for Psychosis Certification
OPA members are invited to enroll in the Action-Based Cognitive Remediation (ABCR) for Psychosis certification. ABCR is an evidence-based intervention designed to help clients translate cognitive gains into meaningful daily progress. Offered via the E-Cog online platform, this structured program is proven to improve client engagement and strengthen outcomes in critical areas such as attention, memory, and problem-solving. Beyond the clinical benefits, this training allows OPA members to earn 12 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) toward their professional requirements.
The path to therapist certification is flexible and comprehensive, beginning with a 12-hour, self-paced online training program across three specialized modules: Cognitive Health, Digital Mental Health Technologies, and ABCR Training. To achieve full certification, therapists may complete six clinical supervision sessions where expert mentors assist with the practical implementation of the intervention for their first cohort.
The full training and supervision package is available for $1500 CAD + taxes/fees, with individual training-only options priced at $500 CAD + taxes/fees.
