Disaster Response Network (DRN)

The Disaster Response Network (DRN) is a group of psychologists and psychological associates who have created a network able to provide a timely response to the mental health impacts of all types of disasters impacting Ontarians. Most recently 325 psychologists stepped forward to assist Ontarians with COVID related mental health issues.  These psychologists that formed our OPA DRN provided frontline workers and their families the opportunity to receive mental health support, many of whom did not have the means to obtain this level of support and service. Our DRN participants willingness to offer pro bono help those struggling with mental health issues has truly been impactful and has been noticed by many including the Government of Ontario, City of Toronto, various media outlets, the Canadian Red Cross as well as OPA’s numerous COVID-19 partners.
