About Me

Dr. Rose Robbins graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2017 after completing her residency at St Joseph Health Hamilton with a major in Behavioural Medicine and a minor at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre. Since that time, she has worked as a Clinical, Health, and Rehabilitation psychologist at The Ottawa Hospital Pain Clinic. She routinely assesses and provides individual and group treatment to individuals with severe medical needs and psychological difficulties. In particular, she has developed an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy group treatment program for women with complex pelvic pain.

Dr. Robbins also owns a small private practice through which she provides online psychotherapy to adult residents of Ontario. In particular, she enjoys working in the area of women's health, with a special focus on fertility, perinatal, postpartum, and menopausal issues. She is also well-versed in the assessment and treatment of sleep-related difficulties, which can affect physical and mental health. Lastly, she often provides treatment for anxiety disorders and low mood, as well as difficulties adjusting to chronic health issues. She has been trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches, including CBT, EFT, ACT, and mindfulness-based interventions.

Dr. Robbins has published several research articles in the field of chronic pain management, sexual health, and romantic attachment. More recently, she has been specially interested in the development, evaluation, and dissemination of group therapy protocols. She is bilingual (French and English).
