About Me

I am a psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. With over 20 years of experience in academic and clinical settings as a university professor and psychologist, I provide psychological assessments and behavioural and cognitive-behavioural therapy for various child and adolescent mental health concerns. I apply a goal-oriented, strength-based, and non-judgmental approach in my practice to help my clients share their unique life stories that contribute to positive treatment outcomes. I use age-appropriate language and activities to build a strong rapport with children and adolescents.
My professional experience includes a visiting lectureship at University of Newcastle, Australia, Associate Professor of Psychology and head of department at the University of Tabriz, psychologist at Razi psychiatric hospital and consultant for Research Center of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences., and consultant for Tabriz Health Center.
I have received my second M.A. degree from Brock University in Child and Youth Studies and has been volunteering at Pathstone Mental Health since 2019. I have published several scholarly articles in peer-reviewed Journals and six books in the field of child and adolescent psychopathology. I offer services in English, Persian and Azeri.
