About Me

I am a registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, is the supervising psychologist of Dr. Karen Kaffko and Associates. I bring compassion, openness and patience to create a safe, non-judgemental space for people to explore, heal and grow.

I am committed to helping individuals understand their stories in order to form stronger connections within themselves and with others. I integrate tangible solution-focused & cognitive behavioral strategies with dynamic relational approaches to help individuals; couples and families meet their treatment goals. As a certified Family Mediator, my expertise has informed my work with couple and family conflict, the impact of separation/divorce on children and adults and Family Mediation. I can work with parents to develop a collaborative co-parenting plan that meets the needs of the children. I have provided workshops & training at numerous conferences, focusing on clinical skills in my areas of specialization.

As teaching faculty at York University for several years, in both the Psychology Department and the School of Social Work, I have been instrumental in developing and teaching courses in – ‘Counseling and Psychotherapy Methods; Mental Health & Interventions; Family Therapy; Family Mediation; Human Sexuality: Development & Diversity; Sexual Interactions & Relationships; and Child and Adolescent Development.’
