About Me
I am a registered clinical and school psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, specializing in supporting children, teens, young adults, and their families. My practice, The Gift Within - Psychological and Clinical Services, reflects my deep belief in the dignity, resilience, and inherent strengths of every individual. With over 15 years of professional experience in both school and private practice settings, I am committed to providing high-quality, neuroaffirmative, and strengths-based care that helps clients uncover their potential and thrive in all areas of life.
Populations Served
My work is centered on helping children and youth navigate challenges related to learning, attention, mood, and adjustment. I regularly provide:
- Psychological assessments for ADHD, learning disabilities, giftedness, autism, and related concerns.
- Therapy and counseling for anxiety, depression, OCD, self-esteem, and school-related stressors.
- Parent support to equip caregivers with practical, compassionate strategies for supporting their child’s development.
- Consultation and collaboration with schools, physicians, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and effective support for families.
Key guiding principles of my work include:
- Neuroaffirmative practice: honoring neurological differences, validating lived experiences, and helping clients build lives that work with, not against, their unique profiles.
- Strengths-based and trauma-informed care: identifying and building on natural abilities while being mindful of how adversity and systemic challenges affect wellbeing.
- Integration of evidence-based modalities: drawing from CBT, ACT, IFS-informed approaches, play therapy, mindfulness-based and self-compassion based interventions, and polyvagal principles.
- Ecological perspective: recognizing the impact of family, school, and community environments, and working across systems to foster sustainable change.
