Dr. Christina Semler (she/her) is a registered Clinical Psychologist with license to practice in Ontario. She has extensive experience treating a broad range of mental health issues including mood disorders, anxiety, depression, stress management, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder, low self-esteem and communication issues.
She is a CACBT-certified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) also specializing in Mindfulness, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Compassion-Focused Therapy to effectively reduce symptoms and promote wellbeing.
Her background includes internships with the Department of Psychology at the Toronto Hospital, the Anxiety Clinic at St. Joseph’s Healthcare (Hamilton) and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Her Doctoral Dissertation in Clinical Psychology from The University of Oxford (UK) examined the association between insomnia and anxiety disorders. She also holds an M.A in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto, an M.A in Health Psychology from York University and a B.A (Hons) in Psychology from Queen's University.
