About Me
I'm a registered clinical psychologist in Kingston, Ontario, with over twenty-five years of experience doing psychotherapy, counselling and assessment with adults. The main services I offer are: Psychotherapy, Counselling and Health Psychology. Before opening my private practice, I worked at Kingston General Hospital with people who had a wide variety of psychological and medical problems, including many with anxiety and depression. I have also taught and supervised graduate students in the Queen's University Psychology Department.
I was very fortunate in my Ph.D. studies in Clinical Psychology to find a program that emphasized in-depth training in psychotherapy.
When people's usual modes of coping with stress aren't working for them, they feel overwhelmed. Psychotherapy can teach new ways of coping through developing more adaptive patterns of behaving, thinking and feeling. Some common problems that bring people to a psychologist for psychotherapy are anxiety, depression, coping with stress, life transitions, medical challenges, and grief. I offer psychotherapy and counselling in person in my office in downtown Kingston and virtually through a secure video platform to clients throughout Ontario.
