President's Message Re: Anti-Racism, Anti-Misogyny policies
The OPA would like to affirm that it is aligned with Anti-Racism, Anti-Misogyny policies. Racism and Misogyny can be overt, covert as well as institutional and systemic. The OPA promotes inclusivity and diversity and acknowledges that systemic racial discrimination, sexism and gender discrimination are interlinked with social and health inequities and adversely impact the mental health of women, BIPOC groups, Indigenous Canadians, transgendered groups and refugees and immigrants.
