Part-time and full-time psychologists, psychologists in supervised practice, or psychological associates
Centre for Psychology and Emotional Health | Posted: January 14, 2020
Location: Toronto, Ontario

Centre for Psychology and Emotional Health has immediate openings for part-time and full-time psychologists, psychologists in supervised practice, or psychological associates who work with couples, and/or adults, and/or families, and/or adolescents.

We are a well-established and growing practice in downtown Toronto and offer evidence-based treatments such as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT); and Mindfulness Based approaches.

We have an enjoyable work environment that is warm, supportive, and collaborative. We value psychotherapy integration and learning from each other’s unique perspectives. We offer: weekly rounds (in individual and couple therapy); consultation groups; ongoing training and opportunities for professional growth; a flexible schedule; and competitive compensation. In addition, there are opportunities to conduct research, provide supervision, and lead or co-lead groups. We provide administrative support and referrals so that our therapists can focus on doing clinical work.

For the couples associate position, ideally, we are looking for associates who: have some training in Emotion-Focused Couple Therapy, are interested in getting further training, and want to develop their skills in working with challenging couples with the support of an experienced team. We have developed an empirically supported Emotion-Focused Therapy model to help couples resolve emotional injuries such as affairs and betrayals and will provide training to learn this model. In addition, we have regular team rounds to discuss assessment and case formulation with complex couples and provide video-taped supervision and consultation.
